I cut these squares from a left over page of 4 x 4" technique lfb that was sent back. It looks better as serendipity than it did whole! This is how to make the technique:
Misc lace, ribbon, and fabric store trims
card stock, any color. Use your uglies
gesso
acrylic paint
3/4" stiff bristle brush
Paint cs with gesso to cover completely. Paint a piece of trim with gesso and place it on the cs. Pounce it on well adding more gesso if needed to ensure good adhesion. Add more lace in the same way designing as you go until the cs is completely covered. Let dry thoroughly. If it warps from the moisture place it in a thick book and add more weight on top. Leave it for a few days and it'll be flat.
Paint with acrylic paints, let dry and flatten again if necessary.
