March 30 + 31

well, problems abound. Looks like i'm doing this all ass backwards. Theres too many ways of doing this and not all of them work. They appear to work as in saying its done but they lie. Sometimes the option isnt there to write anything with the pic or alternately - when i write something the pic dosnt appear. This is a big PITA!
So here goes again. March 30 is a very ragged gel med transfer onto Italian text. In case its too small to read it says "It may be beautiful but i do not like it"
March 31 "Vision" is on a painted paper towel.

problems with blogger again. ok, March 22 is called "Memories of San Francisco"
March 23 is a Rubber Poet image on a resist bckgrd
March 24 bckgrd was stamped and embossed once with clear powder for the pebbly texture. Dragonfly was cut out of a wallpaper sample and painted with Lumieres then sprinkled with irridescent powder.
March 25 Magenta image spritzed with water before stamping for the watercolor look.

June 20 - Origins - the last day in the sign of Gemini

Texture frames are fun to create using scraps of stuff leftover from art projects. This frame consists of paint chips, gyproc tape, wire and a bit of crinkle paper. I used a couple of punches then glued some and stapled some bits onto a gesso'd bckgrd. I then coated all with more gesso and painted over that with Lumiere gold. The gyproc grid behind the Origins image is a light gold, not as white as it appears.

March 20 last day in the sign of Pisces

Two more fishes but not the typical opposites that usually depict Pisces. i found it most unusual that these two are facing each other. hmmm i wonder what it means...maybe we'll finally come to terms with ourselves and live in harmony forever after. I sure hope so. I am tired of the constant battle and insecurities of feeling and doing only 50% of everything while my other half does its best to pull me the opposite way.

This background has a very stiff, hard finish, hard to cut and is chipping on the edges but i like it anyway. I know i created this relatively recently but cant actually remember how or what i used....i have some memory problems due to the liver disease Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. My analysis is that it consists of gel medium with probably alcohol inks swirled in and sprinkled with the tiny beads. The pear was inked up then lightly spritzed with water before stamping.

March 17 Take a deep breath

This nude mountain climbing lady just sort of appeared in an otherwise uninteresting background. I just pencilled her in to give her a life. The sun was a bit of a stretch though as i gave it a little extra color that had'nt been there previously.

March 14

The image of the lady is hard to see in a scan but has iridescent colors of turquoise, lime, purple and gold when you tip and turn it in the light. It's the nail polish technique. The lady and butterfly are layered on a painted paper towel.

March 12

I've been away a while but now i'm b..a..c..kkk. Even though i've been too busy to make new art every day i have re-styled a few old pieces which is an art in itself, lol.
March 12 and 13 were the originals of my contributions to a little fat book; i resized them a little and layered them over a mulberry type paper.
The big flower is a bloom of Clematis Montana. Although the color has mellowed out with age now it was pure white when i first pressed it. Its a very sturdy thick bloom and this specimen is tiny in comparison to the size it usually produces. When creating pressed flower art big usually means unusable.
The smaller flowers are cherry blossoms which are thin and delicate. The bckgrds of both consist of paper napkins; the writing, fish, music and the candles.
